How It All Started

Dream City, initially known as The Dream Center, was established by Frederick Newell on May 30, 2012, as a proactive response to a critical societal challenge. This organization was founded as a beacon of change amidst the rising impact of absentee and uninvolved fathers on youth. Recognizing the multi-dimensional nature of this issue, Dream City understood that addressing it required more than just a youth-focused approach; a comprehensive, family-oriented strategy was paramount. This approach directly supports our mission to inspire and empower communities through advocacy, arts, and community development, ensuring that every individual, especially the youth and their families, receives the support and resources necessary to thrive.

Presently, Dream City stands as a symbol of hope, offering a wide range of programs designed for youth and adults alike. These initiatives are intricately designed to fortify families, transform lives, and reignite hope, reflecting our deep commitment to creating an environment filled with positivity and nurturing. By fostering character development, leadership, community engagement, and personal accountability in this supportive setting, our clients are empowered to grow and contribute positively to their communities. This holistic approach to personal and community development embodies our mission to create sustainable change by working collaboratively to promote social justice, inspire creativity, drive economic growth, and improve health and well-being.
